'La Ferme Des Montaigu'

Our 16th Century Farmhouse newly renovated in 2007 to an extremely high standard. 'La ferme des Montaigu' is set in 3 acres of beautiful grassland, orchard and gardens for everyone to relax and enjoy. We are opposite the 'Etang des Montaigu' 'the lake', and 5 minutes away from the beautiful market town of Villedieu les Poeles, famous for its bell foundry, copper pots and pans.The beautiful grounds have a variety of apple, pear and walnut trees, together with our home grown organic vegetables and herbs for our guests to enjoy. Our chickens, ducks, turkeys and rabbit enjoy the freedom of our enclosed orchard, and supply all our eggs for our home baked cakes and desserts, and breakfast. There are breathtaking views of the country side, and our house is situated so you can view the Lake. The woods are abounding with wildlife including Deer, Wild Boar, Birds of Prey and Red Squirrels. There are many activities including walking, golf, horse riding, fishing and cycling to mention a few. Within the garden area there is an above ground swimming pool, trampoline, and a field big enough to play football or even practise your golf swing. The BBQ area, has chairs, Sun loungers and tables, for you to relax and enjoy the whole Normandy experience. Or right on our doorstep is the lake if you fancy a spot of fishing, and then maybe lunch in the garden.

 

Luxury Bedroom

We offer luxury accomodation, to include continental breakfast or full english at a supplement, each luxury bedroom is en-suite with luxury 6 jet hydro shower and is supplied with hairdryer and ironing facilities. All towels are changed daily. We have a private residents lounge and dining room for your relaxation. We offer evening meal at 20 euros for a 5 course meal for all our guests. We are situated centrally and are only 5 minits from the beautiful market town of Villedieu Les Poeles, and only 40 minits from the 2nd most visited place in france, Le Mont St Michel, there is much to see and do in Normandy, the Bayeux Tapestry and the DDay landings, Museums and Memorials are just to mention a few. With beautiful beaches only 10 kms away from our farmhouse and Champrepus Zoo to keep the little ones happy.
