Mas San Julian, a former winery is located just outside the small market town of Thuir and set amongst vineyards, apricot and peach orchards. Mas San Julian is just 15 - 20 minutes drive from Perpignan airport and approximately 20 - 25 minutes from the sandy beaches on the Cote Vermeille.

It is the old wine cave that has been converted into your holiday lodges overlooking the parkland and swimming pool with stunning views of the Canigou Massif. Due to their origin the lodges have been named after local vines, Grenache, Syrah, Rousanne, Macabeu and Carignan.

The old stone built building has been sympathetically restored and converted to retain much of its' former character. The ground floor of each lodge offers a luxury fully fitted kitchen equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer, electric oven and hob, crockery, cutlery etc. The 'dining area' offers table and chairs to accommodate 6+ and the lounge area offers comfortable seating for those rare occasions when you may wish to escape from the outside life. It is possible to accommodate a further two people on a bed settee in the lounge area if required. The covered terrace leading out from your kitchen offers a barbeque area with table and chairs for outside eating along with a further paved area in order that you may eat in the sunshine if you wish.

On the first floor you have an open terrace, accessible from the main bedroom and the landing, with views of the Pyrenees and in particular Canigou. All bedrooms are furnished with a double bed , fitted wardrobes, dressing table, bedside cupboard and lamp. The second bedroom on this floor is also accessed from the landing, as is the shower room fitted with shower, W.C. and wash basin. On the second floor there is a further bedroom with door leading onto terrace overlooking Les Alberes mountains and bathroom fitted with bath, shower, W.C. and wash basin.

In the park area adjacent to the lodges, is a drop off area for luggage and shopping etc., with a parking area away from the lodges to ensure a safe environment for children. Within the attractively enclosed swimming pool area there is a jacuzzi with sun terraces around all sides furnished with sun beds, chairs and a variety of trees, shrubs and plants. There is a separate area discreetly located for drying laundry etc.

A Baby pack is available if required at a cost of £20.00 per week, this includes a cot, 'bouncing chair', high chair and stair gate. Please advise if you require the baby pack in advance.

A supplement of £25 per person per week will be applied to the 7th + occupant(s) sharing one lodge (this excludes children under the age of 2).

A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your lodge, the balance along with a security deposit along with a security deposit of £200 is required 8 weeks before your arrival. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Getting to Thuir is easy. There are several low cost airlines that fly to the area with Perpignan being the closest airport. But access from Carcassone, Montpellier, Gerona and Barcelona is possible.

Ryanair flies to Perpignan, Carcassone, Montpellier and Gerona.

EasyJet flies to Barcelona.
